Longarm Quilting Services
Basting
$ 0.015
/ sq in
Basting is a temporary stitch that holds your quilt layers together, making it ready for hand quilting or other finishing methods. I’ll carefully layer and stabilize your quilt top, batting, and backing using longarm machine stitches that are easy to remove later.
Computerized
$ 0.025
/ sq in
Computerized quilting — also called edge-to-edge or pantograph quilting — uses a digital pattern to guide the machine in smooth, even stitches across your entire quilt. It’s ideal for consistent, all-over designs that add texture without distracting from your quilt top.
Hand Guided
$ 0.040
/ sq in
Hand-guided quilting includes free-motion and ruler work, where I guide the machine manually to create custom designs, textures, and motifs. This style allows for more artistic detail and personalization, perfect for highlighting special areas or adding heirloom-quality touches.
Batting
I carry Quilter’s Dream 100% Cotton Select and 80/20 Cotton/Poly Blend, both known for their quality and beautiful finish. You’re welcome to supply your own, or I’ll use only what’s needed for your quilt.
To calculate batting cost, I measure the width of your quilt top plus 5 inches — giving a 2.5" margin on each side when loaded on the frame — and multiply by the rate per linear inch.
Example: A quilt measuring 56" × 74" would be cut at 61" × 93" (width + 5", full roll width). You’d be charged for 61 inches at the rate below.
Need a different substrate or prefer a different brand? I’m happy to special order or discuss what fits your quilt and your budget.
If you'd like me to attach binding to your quilt, I’m happy to help - but please note that I do not cut, piece, or press binding strips. You’ll need to prepare your binding in advance: piece it to the correct length, fold it in half lengthwise, and press it so it’s ready to apply -OR- you can purchase high-quality pre-made 2.5” bias binding from my shop.
To ensure a smooth finish, your binding should be at least 12 inches longer than the total perimeter of your quilt. This extra length allows for clean joining at the end.
How to calculate binding length: Add all four sides of your quilt, then add 12 inches.
Example: A quilt measuring 60" × 80" has a perimeter of: 60 + 80 + 60 + 80 = 280 inches
280 + 12 = 292 inches of prepared binding needed.
If you select Top Only binding, for 280” linear inches x .55 = $70
You can choose from 2 finishing styles:
